The I2Latam (Strengthening of Research and Innovation in Young Universities for Regional Development in Latin America) and Mimir Andino (Modernisation of Institutional Management of Innovation and Research in the Andean Region and Latin America) projects, of Erasmus + co-financed by the European Union and coordinated by the University of La Sabana and the Colombian Association of Universities (ASCUN), respectively; came together to carry out the cycle of “I2Latam-Mimir Andino Dialogues: Trends and good practices in the management of research and innovation in Europe and Latin America”, in order to make visible the progress, articulate two projects for the development of capacities in innovation and research, as well as helping to strengthen the management of research and innovation in higher education institutions in Latin America.

The first session “Alliances for the promotion of R + D + i” will open the cycle, this Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. COT. This dialogue will have three interventions. The first will be in charge of Luisa Fernanda Villamizar, Coordinator of International Relations of the Colombian Association of Universities -ASCUN- and Alejandra González, Head of International Cooperation and Visibility of the University of La Sabana, coordinators of the projects mentioned.

Later, Guillermo Alfonso Parra, Vice-rector for Science, Technology and Innovation of the Antonio Nariño University (Col.) will present the “R + D + i Collaboration Network: Key in the generation of value and transfer of knowledge”. Finally, the last intervention will be: “Networks for internationalization in Latin America: an opportunity for cooperation”, by Sofia Wong, director of International Cooperation at the University of Piura (Peru) who will participate in a discussion in around the subject.

The moderation will be in charge of María Alejandra Maldonado, Director of International Relations and Cooperation of the Universidad Católica San Pablo (Peru).

Two monthly sessions will be held from August to November 2020, virtually, in which, through a presentation and panel for one hour, the initiatives of the partner institutions of both projects will be presented. Two of them in English.
